A BRIEF HISTORY
The Gang is a hull based Hip Hop and R n’ B group which comprises of three very talented young men. These young men are bonded together by their passion and love for music along with the vision of evolving the music industry within the UK. These young men are:
Tony Iluobe aka (Blakk): The ‘wave maker’, an undisputed lyrical talent. His unique flow, charisma, attitude and stylish delivery is definitely something that will linger in the minds of those that watch him perform.
Chima Etekochay (Ceekay): labelled ‘The Voice’ by those lucky to have heard him perform. It’s not just what he sings but how he sings it that makes his performance so special. Whoever said “music has the charms that soothe the savage beast” must have been referring to Ceekay.
Last but certainly not the lease, Trea Barber (Heatrock): One word best describes him; producer extraordinaire. His beats are definitely the glue that seals together the lyrics of Blakk to the vocals of Ceekay. It is a wonder to know what goes on in his mind to be able to produce such ‘club banging’ instrumentals.
The Gang have had many opportunities to perform and each of them has been one success story after the other. The Gang have seen themselves perform alongside a number of big names within the UK music industry, such as, N’Dubz (twice), S.A.S, Black Twang, Taio Cruz, Shola Ama, T2, Tinchy Stryder, etc. Not to mention some international figures such as Kyle Norman (Quick) of Jagged Edge and Levi Little of Blackstreet.
The Gang see themselves as a musical entity with a lot to offer the music industry and the dream has only just begun.
