About me: |

“Andrea will get to your heart even if she sings in the middle of a boat in the sea. What she does has nothing to do with being in L.A., London, Paris or whatever. It has to do with artistic commitment and love for every note she sings, and that’s how great artists act, don’t you think?" (IAC.com)
Born and raised in Salem, Oregon, singer/songwriter Andrea Miller’s voice has been described as soulful, sensual, hypnotic and endearing. Influenced by Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Sarah Vaughan, ELO and Pink Floyd amongst others, Andrea is currently heating up the Los Angeles music scene.
Andrea had the incredible honor to work with David Foster, Quincy Jones and Alan || Marilyn Bergman when recording the vocal demo for CELINE DION "I Knew I Loved You". This vocal demo was requested by Dion, as originally the Ennio Morricone song was an instrumental theme song from the film "Once Upon A Time In America" entitled "Deborah's Theme". Morricone hand picked Dion to sing the remake of "Deborah's Theme", Jones to produce it, who then in turn requested the Bergman's to write the lyrics. Andrea had the pleasure of working with all these greats on the demo at Foster's studio in Malibu. Later in 2007 Dion debuted the song "I Knew I Loved You" live at the Academy Awards. The song is now available on the tribute album to Morricone entitled "We All Love Morricone".
An affiliate of ASCAP, Andrea performs regularly throughout greater Los Angeles with her jazz quartet. Her performances have brought down the house and gained critical acclaim at venues such as the Ritz Carlton Pasadena, The Four Seasons, Charlie O's, Regent Beverly Wilshire, Lunaria, Jax, Windows Of The World, 310 Lounge, Chaya Brasserie, The Smokehouse, Cafe Cordiale, Twin Palms, Highland Grounds, Club Lingerie, The Cat Club, The Opium Den, The Kitting Factory, The Zip Cafe, Bobby London, Maggiano’s, Bellavino Wine Bar and others, accompanied by some of L.A.’s finest musicians.
Andrea finished recording her first jazz album entitled “Perfect Day” during late 2006. Produced by Stephen Boyd, the album was recorded in L.A. and features 11 songs. The musicians performing on the album include: Erinie Watts, Alex Acuna, Robert Martin, Frank Wilson, Cliff Hugo, Bob Maize, Stephen Boyd, Chuck Hoover and Jon Chiodini. Andrea co-wrote two songs and seven of the songs are written by the masterful Bobby Cole, Judy Garland’s former musical director.
In early 2006, Andrea released a beautiful duo recording of standards featuring herself and Yoon Seung Cho on piano. The duo perform 10 standards, displaying a fluid flow of give and take, combining both jazz and classical backgrounds. The album is entitled “II By II” and is available at www.DreaSings.com.
Last year Andrea was honored when asked to perform the “Star Spangled Banner” for the LA Galaxy (LA’s Intl. Soccer team) at the Home Depot Stadium for 20,000 people. Andrea became the KLAC “Fabulous Finds Contest” winner last year, beating out her competition in both the radio broadcast contest as well as the live performance finals contest!
In addition to performing, Andrea keeps busy recording as a session singer. Her voice can be heard on recordings by Dimelo Records, Windgate Music, Mattel Toys, Groove Gravy Records, Kriztal Records, YG Entertainment, Delta Entertainment, Mills Trading Company and others.
After graduating from USC’s school of Fine Arts in Acting, little did she know her education would lead to a career as a professional vocalist. Constantly inspired by her favorite lyric, “We’re just two lost souls swimmin’ in a fish bowl year after year”, Andrea writes and records her own music, as well as co-writes and co-produces. Check her out at www.DreaSings.com.
“She’s very charming, personable and attractive and sings with a lot of emotion”. “Her delivery is soft and sensual, almost hypnotic. She sings with confidence”. (L.A. Jazz Scene)
“Listening to her music, it is easy to see why she was honored, her honest, touching lyrics are delivered by her strong,
soulful voice in such a divine way that you can't help but be drawn in. Songs like "Tempt Me" and "Soulful Dream" give
just an example of the amazing skillfulness of this artist. After seeing her flawless live performance of the old standard "My
Funny Valentine", I realized that this is one artist who deserves all the accolades and awards she gets. Andrea has a captivating quality about her that commands your attention and earns your praise. Andrea is definitely an artist worth listening to.” (Indie-Connections.com)
“Andrea Miller’s vocals on this track are magnificent.” (Jointz Magazine)
“Andrea Miller delivers a beautiful range of soothing vocals….don’t sleep on this exotic gem.” (UCLA Radio)
