MyMusicSite.com artists can put a link from their website directly to their MyMusicSite.com page and allow visitors to buy music directly off the internet, there is no shipping charge or inventory for artists to manage; sell as many copies of your albums and songs as you want.
What does MyMusicSite.com cost?
MyMusicSite.com is offering its basic services for free. MyMusicSite.com only charges for music sold. MyMusicSite.com charges Artists a fee of $0.20 cents for each downloaded song sold and $2.00 for each album sold and charges Producers $2.00 for each track sold plus 10% of total track sales price. Artists and Producers select the price in which to sell their music. All ringtones have a set price of $1.99 which can''''''''''''''''t be changed. Artists receive $0.60 for each ringtone that is sold. For iTunes uploads, MyMusicSite.com charges $7.99 for a single upload and $19.99 for an Album upload. For iTunes sales, MyMusicSite.com charges artists a 10% administration fee when paying artists out on their iTunes sales. This is in addition to iTunes standard charges. All music promotional service pricing is listed in our promotional section.
Who owns the music on MyMusicSite.com?
Each song on MyMusicSite.com is owned by the artist/producer who has listed it on the site.
Is MyMusicSite.com only for music?
No, MyMusicSite.com is for audio files. Spoken word, comedy, and any other audio files are also welcomed.
Is MyMusicSite.com a record company?
No, MyMusicSite.com is a download service for music/audio files; we do not own or have exclusive rights with any of the artists/producers on our site. We do not own any rights to your music and you are available and free to sign with a record label or deal with any vendors you choose.
Is there any kind of copy protection on files from MyMusicSite.com?
No, MyMusicSite.com is simply a pay for download service, we do not offer DRM (Digital Rights Management)
How much should I sell my music for?
The going rate for music downloads is about $1 per song, and $10 per album. MyMusicSite.com charges a fee of $0.20 cents for each song sold and $2.00 for each album; you must price your songs and albums above these prices.
How do I get paid?
For downloaded music sales, MyMusicsite.com pays out all artists and producers during the first week of each month for their previous month of sales. For Ringtone sales, MyMusicSite.com pays out all artists within 2 weeks of receiving payments from cell phone providers. For iTunes, MyMusicSite.com pays out artists within one month of receiving payment from iTunes. You will receive payment via your PayPal account or by check via regular mail to the address that you signify. We do not send payments until account reaches a $50 balance due to administrative costs.
What types of files can I upload?
We recommend mp3 files since they are the most compatible with different computers and digital music players. Please see instructions under technical to convert your files into MP3’s.

User Registration Steps:
- Click on signup on the top right corner
- Fill in the registration Form
- Select User Type (User/Artist/Producer)
- Charges for the User/Artist/Producer can be controlled from the admin section which will be explained later.
- Once you fill in the registration form you will receive an activation email
- Go to the link mentioned on the email and enter the Member ID given in the email
- Once you enter the member id right you will be activated and can login
- Once you login, you will be taken to the account control panel
How do I purchase a song
- Click Home
- Search for a song using following methods:
- Basic Search on the top of the page
- Advanced Search which is a link besides the basic search button
- Click on Genres
- Clicking on Artists/Producers
- Clicking on Album which will show you all the albums and songs within it
- Click on add the basket icon besides the song
- To hear the song preview for 30 secs
- Click on the song name
- Click on the headphone icon besides cart icon
- Once the song or album is added on to cart, click view cart or the cart on the top left
- Once you see the songs that you have selected, click the google checkout button and proceed with the checkout
- Once the song is purchased, you will be redirected to mainpage to continue shopping

How do I customize my homepage?
Go to the “My Account” section and click on “customize your homepage”, there you’ll be able to choose your background color or place a background picture, as well as change the text and header color.
How do I upload pictures?
To upload your profile picture:
Go to the “My Account” section and click on “Create/Edit profile”, scroll down and towards the middle of the page you will see “Upload Photo”, you can click there to upload your profile picture.
To upload your background picture:
Go to the “My Account” section and click on “Customize Your Homepage” there you will be able to choose your background color or place a background picture.
To upload a song/media file picture:
Go to the “My Account” section and click on “Add Song/Media File”. Enter the: Genre, Album Name, Song/Media Title and Price. Where it says "Song", click browse to select your song to be uploaded. Where it says “Image”, click browse to select your personal image to be uploaded. (MyMusicSite.com allows you to add a new image for every song that you upload.) Once your songs are uploaded, you will be re-directed to the "View Song List" section. You will have to enter the correct numbers in the "Song Order" box. Enter in the numbers in the order in which you would like your songs to appear.
To upload an album picture:
Go to the “My Account” section and click on “Add Album”, where it says “Image”, click browse and you can select your personal image to be uploaded. MyMusicSite.com allows you to add a new image for every album that you upload.
Why is my picture not uploading?
All pictures need to be less than 2MB. If you have pictures larger than 2MB there are many free software programs that will enable you to reduce the size of the picture (ex:www.irfanview.com).
How do I put the MyMusicsite.com logo on my myspace/facebook/website enabling me to get more exposure and to link directly to MyMusicsite.com page to sell my music?
On your profile page underneath your URL, there is a MyMusicSite.com hot link. Copy and paste that on to the website of your choice, this will instantly create our logo with a link back to your MyMusicSite.com profile page.
How do I view past songs I have downloaded?
Go to the “My Account” section and click on download history; this will show you all songs that you have purchased and downloaded.
How do I add an album?
Go to the “My Account” section and click on “Add Album”. Once there, fill out all appropriate fields and click save. Once you have an album set up, you can go into “Add Song/Media File” and it will automatically be listed in the album section. You do not need to set up an album before you add songs, you can always link songs to an album at a later date.
Do I need to set up an album in order to sell songs on MyMusicSite.com?
No it is not necessary to set up an album in order to sell music on MyMusicSite.com.
How do I get my Album to show on the top of my profile page?
Go to the “My Account” section and click “Homepage Album Cover”. Once there you can select an album to display on the top of your homepage. By selecting an album name you can choose four songs to list associated with that album. To choose the four songs you wish to display, click the select button on the left hand side leaving a check mark in the box. In the sequence section you can choose the order in which you would like your songs to be displayed.
How do I view my sales history?
To see order details, sales details and what payments you are due for song/album downloads that you have sold, go to the “My Account” section and click view sales report. In sales report you can view all ordered details.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your account please email us at help@MyMusicSite.com and we will delete the account for you.
Can I set up ringtones as a producer?
Unfortunately, you can not set up ringtones as a producer. Most producers do not want us to allow a track that they want to sell to be able to be available as a ringtone. If you are a producer who would like the ability to sell your beats as ringtones, you are welcome to set up an artist account to do that.
What are Alerts?
An Alert is an email notification sent to our users to advise them that they have received the following: New Friend, Made A Sale, New Comment On Your Page, New Comment On Your Song and New Subscriber To Your Fan Mail.
How Do I Enable My Alerts?
Go to the "My Account" section and click on "Enable Alerts", there you will be able to the checkbox for each alert that you wish to receive alerts on. This feature allows you to turn on/off alerts that you receive by email.Ex: If you check the checkbox for: Made A Sale - you will receive an email notification notifying you that your song/album has been purchased.
What is Fan Mail?
Fan Mail allows you to collect and manage emails from your fans and email them with updates (tour dates, album releases, etc.) and stay in touch with them.
How Does Fan Mail Work?
Fans will subscribe to your fan mail on your artist page. To check status, go to the "My Account" section and click Manage Fan Email Address. Within this section, you will be able to view all your fans information (First, Last Name and Email Address). Also, you will be able to:
- Gather your fan''''''''''''''''s email to send them updates.
- Upload your artist photo/album cover and bio
- Edit/Remove Fans
- Export Fans information into a list as an Excel File or Text File
With your personal email address, you can send all your fans that have subscribed to your fan mail updates (tour dates, album releases, etc.)
What is the difference between "License Beat" and "One Time Purchase"?
Tracks that are licensed, grant rights to the buyer to use the track on a non exclusive basis. Other people can purchase and use the same track. One Time Purchase grants exclusive rights to the buyer. That buyer will have the rights to that track and that track will not be re sold to anyone else by that producer. On MyMusicSite.com, tracks that are listed as One Time Purchase automatically get removed from the site once a purchase is made. Please note that for any track purchases made on the site, you should work out all particular details with the producer directly regarding the purchase and exchange of files.
What are Promotional Offers?
The ability to offer your songs and/or albums at a discounted price or even giveaway your music for free.
How Do I add Promotional Offers to my Songs and Albums?
First, go to "My Account" section and click on "Add Offers". Within this section, you will be able to do the following:
Add Offer Name. Offer Name: is what you would like to name your offer. Ex: Christmas Special
Add Offer Code. Offer Code: This is the code that you will give to the purchaser to retrieve the Discount.
Add Discount % or Discount Amount. Discount % or Discounted Amount: The % you would like to discount off the original price or the dollar amount you want to reduce your original price by.
For example: if the price for an original song is .99 and the discounted amount is .50, the purchaser will pay .49. If the price for original song is $2.00 and the discounted % is 50%, the purchaser will pay $1.00.
Enter in "Valid until" date. "Valid until" date: The date that the offer will expire.
Then click Save.
Once you have added an Offer code, go back to your "My Account" section. You can now apply that code to an Album(s) and Song(s).
To Apply Offer to Albums. Click on "Apply Offer to Albums"
Within this section, you will be able to Select the album in which you would like to apply offer code to. Once you select album, you will need to select offer code.

Select the offer code within the drop down menu to apply the offer code to the album that you selected within the "Select Album" dropdown menu.
Then click Save.
Once you have applied an offer code to an Album or Song, you can now giveaway that specific code your fans to retrieve the promotional offer.
To Apply Offer to Songs. Click on "Apply Offer to Songs"
Within this section, you will be able to apply an offer code to a song.
Select the song within the drop down menu in which you would like to apply an offer code to. Once you select song, you will need to select offer code.
Select Offer Code
Select the offer code within the drop down menu to apply the offer code to the song that you selected within the "Select Song" dropdown menu.
Then click Save.
Once you have applied an offer code to an Album or Song, you can now giveaway that specific code your fans to retrieve the promotional offer.
How Do I Know Who Has Utilized My Offers?
Within you’re "My Account" section, click: List of Users who utilized Your Offer. This section displays all the members that have used your offer code for a particular song and/or album.

How do I convert my songs into to MP3s?
The process of converting WAVs, AIFFs or SD2s to MP3s is often referred to as “encoding.”
There are many online free MP3 converters. If you do a search for “free MP3 converters” you will have several options to choose from.
AUDACITY is an open source software and available for free. It will help you to rip audio tracks off your Demo CD or import standard music files to further convert them into Mp3’s.
iTunes also has a built in encoder.
All MP3s uploaded on MyMusicSite.com are required to be encoded at 128 kbps (for good sound quality)
