Kayla Kavanagh is a solo artist with a twist. The Irish multi-instrumentalist works across a variety of genres, as an electronica performer, guitar-based Singer/Songwriter, pianist, Pop/Rock artist and classical/contemporary composer.
The music graduate qualified with an MA in Digital Performance, where she began experimenting with live looping using an array of traditional instruments, wires and technology, journeying from acoustic to electronica.
During 2008-2009, Kayla performed a national tour, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festivals and performances at numerous festivals across the country from her VW Kampervan.
Kayla's "one~woman band" shows feature numerous instruments including keyboard, guitars, electric violin, flute, hammered dulcimer, looping pedals and vocoder. |
