About me: |
After a 3 years as an acoustic duo, Corey Zaks (lead guitar) and Kevin Foster (rhythm guitar/lead vocals) decided to take the Earthtone sound to a new level. Galloping through an array of musicians, finally Earthtone seems to have its roots! A group of friends in a band called Spies broke up, the duo quickly jumped on the opportunity to work with the bass player Ryan Nicholls. Ryan obliged to the request and began rehearsing with the band in December of 2008.
In August of 2009 Earthtone had another transformation, aquiring drummer Taylor Gross from out of town. Taylor has fit in well with the band and the 4 members continue to perform, write and record.
The recently formed quartet has been preparing for a third release, and promoting the release of Earthtone’s second EP, in and around the GTA. Playing in venues such as the Horseshoe Tavern, The Elmocombo and the Opera House, Earthtone has quickly turned some heads in their direction. They continue to work at building a fan base by playing weekly and promoting the band online. The band is presently writing (as always) and recording brand new material that they plan to release on third EP, in early 2010.

June 2007 we released our first EP as a duo with some help from other musicians.In 2008 we won Durham College's Battle of the Bands & released our 2nd CD.We've shared the stage with such big name acts as iLLScarlett, Mother Mother, and Crush Luther.The common theme for all our endevours...is the Passion for creating MUSIC!
We are currently working on our 3rd release, that it will be released in early 2010.
